My dog recently had to undergo emergency surgery after we discovered he was suffering from a severe and painful build-up of stones in his kidney, bladder, and urinary tract. It was one of the most frightening moments I’ve ever experienced. Watching him in so much pain, unable to understand what was happening, broke me in a way I can’t fully put into words. The surgery was urgent and necessary to save his life, but because of his age and the severity of the condition, the amazing surgeon was able to remove most of the stones from his bladder but none of the kidney stones could've been removed. That means this is not over for him. He now faces a long road ahead filled with ongoing medications, frequent veterinary visits, and careful monitoring just to keep him stable and comfortable.

The financial burden has grown far beyond what I could have ever prepared for. Between the emergency surgery, hospital stay, medications, and continued follow-up care, the costs have become overwhelming. I am doing everything I can to give him the best possible chance and the most comfort in this stage of his life, because he is not just my dog, he is my family, my child, and my heart.
