Help Save Whiskey

Our family never imagined we’d be facing something like this, but our sweet French Bulldog, Whiskey, is in desperate need of emergency surgery.

A few days ago, we noticed that Whiskey wasn’t urinating normally and seemed uncomfortable. We rushed him to the emergency veterinarian, where X-rays revealed something devastating: Whiskey has 15 bladder stones, several of which are blocking his ability to urinate.

The veterinarian told us that if we had waited any longer, his bladder could have ruptured, and we could have lost him. Thankfully, they were able to temporarily move one of the stones to relieve the blockage and buy us some time until his surgical consultation. However, this is only a temporary fix. At any moment, the stones can shift again and completely block his urinary tract, creating a life-threatening emergency.

Without surgery, we will lose him.

Right now, Whiskey is being closely monitored around the clock and is taking antibiotics and pain medication every 12 hours to keep him comfortable. He is scheduled for surgery on Tuesday, where the surgeon will remove the stones and give him the chance to recover and get back to being the happy, loving dog we know and adore.

As much as we hate asking for help, this has become a very unexpected financial burden for my parents. Between the emergency visit, X-rays, medications, specialist consultation, and upcoming surgery, the costs are quickly adding up.

Whiskey is more than a pet. He is family. He brings joy, laughter, and unconditional love to everyone around him, and we are doing everything we can to give him the care he needs.
