Help while I care for my mom with ALS at home in hospice
Donation protected
I have shared the responsibility and honor with my dad and younger sister who is high functioning on the Autism Spectrum to be my 75 year old mom's full-time live-in primary caregiver for the past four and a half years since her ALS diagnosis, and after a hypoxic episode and 2 weeks in the ICU she's home on hospice.
Two and a half years ago I stepped away from my career entirely when the disease progressed to the point she needed much more help than she previously did and even for a few hours a day I couldn't be out of the house.
Since then, my savings have exhausted themselves and the past year I've relied on very meager paying small user testing, survey site and mobile game paying apps to scrounge together money to pay my bills with which I had virtually no time for this past month while she was in the ICU and come home.
The hospice we're with did not want to pay to continue my mom's Astral 150 bipap ventilator rental which prior had gone through Medicare, and my dad who is our only income working very part time from home dug into his 401k to spend $4,000 so we could purchase our own unit from a medical supply retailer and I don't have the heart to ask for his help this month to help me pay my bills (both lingering medical debt I'm slowly paying off and otherwise).
I'm looking for assistance if anyone can spare anything at all to help me cover my bills for the next few months. I placed my goal conservatively, but I'm unsure day by day how much extra care takes my time, leaving me with little time to decompress, let alone be able to keep up with the time needed to reach the time sensitive goals for any significant (usually 30-70 dollars) earnings.
I'm active on a minor scale again scrounging with the same apps I had been but with even less time to keep up with the embarrassing side-hustles there's no realistic way for me to raise enough to get through the bare bones bills I have this month on my own and my stress has become even more paralyzing over the financial burden and nervousness.
I would greatly appreciate even a couple dollars from anyone who has anything to spare in hopes I can lessen my stress.
Thank you even as for giving your time to read my message.
