Help WGTD's Bill Fritsch!
On November 29th, WGTD's very own Bill Fritsch endured a 12 hour surgery to remove a malignant tumor from his jaw. Bill will have to re-learn how to talk, eat, and swallow during his recovery. Bill has never smoked and he has never chewed tobacco. The cause of his tumor is unknown.
Three surgery teams were required for this operation: Cancer specialists, anesthesiologists, and a facial reconstructive team. Bill is currently being fed via a feeding tube.
Bill Fritsch works two full time jobs and still finds time to call games on WGTD. He does have insurance but between deductables and other costs not covered this will cause a majorly severe hardship for his family.
Bill Fritsch has been a loyal broadcaster at WGTD for nearly two decades. He's served as our lead Play by Play announcer covering thousands of local sporting events with Bob Haggarty. We are asking our loyal audience members to do what they can to help Bill in his time of need by helping to cover medical expenses via our GoFundMe page.
100 percent of the proceeds will go to Bill and his family.
Every little bit helps. PLEASE give what you can..
UPDATE: Bill Fritsch is now home in Racine. He is still being fed via feeding tube.
