Help Weston Compete at the NTIS Champions Cup
Donation protected
We’re raising funds to help Weston, an 11-year-old catcher, compete at the USA Baseball NTIS Champions Cup in Cary, North Carolina this August. This is a prestigious national event and an incredible opportunity for him to showcase his skills on one of the biggest stages for youth baseball.
Weston was selected as one of just 30 players across our region to join the Northwest Regional team after excelling at local and state-level tryouts. The USA is only broken into six regions. His elite performance behind the plate, including a pop time of 2.11 seconds, stood out among some of the best young athletes in the region. He also posted a top exit velocity of 67 mph on front toss using a standard USA bat (not the hotter USSSA bats common in travel ball), which was just shy of the highest recorded 11U exit velo of 71 mph.
The NTIS Champions Cup is part of the official pathway to the USA Baseball National Team. Earning a spot at this level is a remarkable achievement that reflects Weston’s hard work, determination, and love for the game.
The tournament takes place August 19–24, and with the short notice of his selection, we are working quickly to cover his direct costs of approximately $1,800, which includes:
$495 tournament registration
$500 airfare with his equipment
$800 hotel accommodations
We are only asking for help with Weston’s expenses. As his parents, we are covering our own travel costs, and only one of us will travel with him to keep expenses as low as possible.
Weston is more than just a talented athlete. He is a dedicated student in his school’s advanced academy, a cellist who was recognized this year for Music Excellence, and a kind, humble kid who makes us proud every single day.
We would be incredibly grateful for any support you can give to help Weston take advantage of this amazing opportunity and continue chasing his dream.
Any contribution, big or small, helps make this trip possible. We will keep everyone updated on his progress along the way.
Thank you for being part of his journey.
(GoFundMe has set the initial goal at 1k but will increase it closer to the real goal of 1.8k as we meet each goal)
