My husband and his community were hit hard by hurricane Melissa and are asking for help to recover, rebuild and maintain the life they've built in Westmoreland, Jamaica.

This community relies on agriculture and tourism, both fields that, for the foreseeable future, will be impossible to sustain.

Supplies are scarce and everyone is trying to rebuild what was destroyed together, but we need your help! Every little bit matters, every dollar goes a long way and will be put to use for the future of this community. It will be used to rebuild houses so that they are safe to live in, to assist in the roads and yards cleanup effort, to make sure there's food to eat and water to drink for everyone.

I am all the way in NYC and this is my way of reaching out to *my* community, asking for help in this long and difficult process of rebuilding Jamaica. I'm trying to remain hopeful that this beloved country and its people will be peaceful and prosperous once again, and am grateful for every bit of love you show!
