On October 28, 2025, Hurricane Melissa made landfall and left a devastating trail across Jamaica. The powerful winds and catastrophic flooding caused widespread damage, but some of the hardest-hit areas are the rural parishes of Westmoreland and Trelawny. These tight-knit communities are home to families who have lost everything.
Homes have been swept away. Roads and bridges have collapsed. Power lines are down. Schools, hospitals, and small businesses have been destroyed or forced to close. Many families now have no shelter, no access to food or clean water, and limited medical care. Recovery will take time and resources, and they cannot do it alone.
My name is Chantelle, and my parents hail from Westmoreland and Trelawny. These communities raised our families, carried our traditions, and shaped the people we are today. Many of our loved ones still live there—some now without homes, security, or even basic necessities. Our hearts are with them, and we are committed to giving back and rebuilding the places that gave us so much.
This fundraiser will provide direct aid to families in need. Funds will be used to purchase and distribute food, clean water, clothing, medical supplies, and other essential resources. No contribution is too small.
Thank you for supporting the people of Westmoreland and Trelawny. Your kindness brings hope, healing, and strength to families rebuilding their lives.
