My name is Toni-Ann Goodlett-McIntosh from Portland, Jamaica. As we all know, our beloved country Jamaica has been devastated by Hurricane Melissa.
Hurricane Melissa struck Jamaica on October 28, 2025, leaving families, homes, and businesses across Western Jamaica devastated. Many of our neighbors have lost everything: their homes, belongings, and sense of security. Families are now without shelter, food, and clean water, while local communities struggle to recover. The road to rebuilding will be long, but together, we can ease their burden and bring hope back to those who are hurting most.
Though I am from Portland, my heart aches for the people in Western Jamaica. I cannot sit back and watch my fellow Jamaicans suffer. This GoFundMe aims to provide immediate relief in the form of food, water, baby supplies, hygiene products, and building essentials to help families and individuals who are trying to rebuild their lives from nothing.
Local organizations and volunteers are on the ground hosting pop-up kitchens and distributing supplies in hard-hit areas such as Westmoreland and St. Elizabeth, but St. James and Hanover need our help too. Your donations will help support these community-led efforts and ensure that no one goes hungry or without basic necessities during this time.
Every dollar makes a difference. Together, we can restore faith, rebuild lives, and show the true meaning of “Out of many, one people.” One love, one Jamaica.
