Help West End Women & Girls Centre get a tractor!
Help West End Women and Girls Centre get a tractor for their farm!
Can you join Square One Law in getting the ‘wheels in motion’ to raise funds for a much needed tractor for West End Women and Girls Centre’s (WEWGC) farm?
The Centre have been supporting women and girls for the past 40 years and we’re proud to support a charity that provides help and hope to so many in the community.
As WEWGC celebrate four decades of driving change and improving the lives of disenfranchised women and girls in Newcastle, they have unveiled ambitious plans to help even more women and girls. The Centre have just taken on a 10-acre smallholding in rural Northumberland. But they’re starting from scratch - digging and building by hand – and desperately need a tractor so they can grow, plant and harvest.
Having a tractor will mean that women and girls can grow sustainable, organic food, sow and harvest vegetables and crops from polytunnels, fields and an orchard, and together create a rural ‘get away’ for women and girls from the West End of Newcastle to have fun, be free and work the land together.
Based in Elswick, WEWGC works with over 10,000 women and girls each year. As the first and only open access, community-based women, and girls centre in Newcastle, they seek to drive positive change in the world, their community and in women and girls’ lives.
Please consider donating and help them continue to drive positive change in our community.
