October 17th, 2017 I rescued Wesley from the Moscow Idaho humane society. Really he rescued me. I knew he was the one when I opened his kennel and he crawled right into my lap. I went for a kitten and came home with a 2.5 year old cat. And I wouldn’t change a thing. I visited him 3 times before I brought him home. I was just so in love with him.

Wes is the kind of cat that makes everyone fall in love with cats. Everyone who met him fell in love with him instantly. Every animal we brought home, he loved with every bone in his body. Even Malibu who bullied him. He was the papa bear to all of them. He never caused any issues at home like clawing furniture or peeing on shit. He truly is an angel. He’s my best friend. My soulmate in a cat. I bond I am so thankful to have ever experienced. I just wish I had more time.

Many of you know, back in June, Wesley was admitted to the ER Vet. Which then was diagnosed with CKD (chronic kidney disease). That vet trip cost us $7k. Between paying for his bags of fluids, special foods, supplements, bloodwork checks, we have maxed out our care credit care and savings.

Wes was improving but unfortunately has taken another decline in health. Monday, September 29th, we had a quality of life check up. Our plan was to increase fluids at home to 200ml a day, give a food stimulant to get him to want to eat, and a hydration supplement for the week. Unfortunately, at this point nothing is helping the way we want it to. And it’s absolutely killing me. Because I’m not ready to say goodbye.

We have come to an agreement to let Wes go peacefully at home on Sunday, October 5th.

He deserves the most peaceful passing around the place and people he loved most. I hate asking for help but we have spent every penny to try and save him. These costs will help pay for in home euthanasia and to have him cremated. If you can please help donate, if you can’t please share. I love you all. Thank you for reading
