Help Wesley Represent Canada at the FISU Games
Donation protected
Hi! My name is Wesley Eze, and I’m a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate from the University of Alberta. I’ve been a dedicated athlete on the university’s track and field team, where I’ve had the honour of serving as team captain and competing in discus, hammer, and shot put. Over the past several years, I’ve committed myself fully to the pursuit of excellence in sport, through intensive training, strict nutrition, ongoing rehab, and countless hours of preparation, both physical and mental.
This hard work paid off in my final season, where I finished 2nd nationally in weight throw and 4th in shot put. Now, I’ve been selected to represent Canada (!!!) at the 2025 FISU World University Games (also known as the World University Games) in Düsseldorf, Germany. I’ll be competing for Team Canada in both discus and shot put, and I am incredibly humbled by the opportunity to wear the maple leaf on the international stage.
However, attending FISU is entirely self-funded, and the total cost to participate is approximately $6,000 CAD. This includes flights to and from Germany, ground transportation, accreditation and competition fees, accommodation, meals, training and medical support, and administrative costs. Balancing high-level training and rehab with financial obligations is a challenge, which is why I’m turning to you for help.
Where Your Donation Goes:
- Flights to and from Düsseldorf, Germany
- Ground transportation during the Games
- Competition and accreditation fees
- Accommodation and meals
- Medical and mission staff support
- Operations and administrative costs
Any support you can give will directly contribute to helping me reach this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Your donation, no matter the amount, goes toward my travel, lodging, nutrition, and preparation to compete at my absolute best. I’m beyond grateful for your generosity and encouragement as I continue striving to represent Canada with pride, not only in track and field but in my future athletic journey, including my pursuit of bobsled.
Lastly, I want to say thank you to everyone who has supported me, my family, coaches, teammates, friends, and even those behind the scenes who’ve pushed me to be better each day. Your belief in me means everything. This competition marks a major step in a lifelong dream, and I can’t wait to take that step with your support.
Thank you for taking the time to read and consider donating. God bless!
