Help Wesley & His Family While Battling Cancer
Donation protected
At 39 years old, you never expect to be told that you have cancer. Wes had been experiencing back pain for a while but never dreamed that he would hear the words " colon cancer" after meeting with the doctor in March of 2022.
Wes found out early last year that the back pain that he was experiencing was being caused by a baseball size tumor. He also found out at this time that he has what is called Lynch Syndrome which made him more likely to get colorectal cancer and other cancers, and at a younger age. With a baby girl only a few months old, this was devastating news.
The following months were filled with nothing but pain, treatments and hospital stays. Wes has gone through multiple surgeries to remove the tumor and repair the damage that it had caused. This was followed by numerous complications and severe infections. He has had unbelievable amounts of chemo and radiation as well.
Wes has worked for us since 2009 and is also a friend and someone we care so much about. Through all this, he has done his best to work and continue his daily job duties to the best of his abilities. Through all of his pain and sickness, we have watched him show up and give it all he's got when others wouldn't be able to get out of bed. He is a fighter!
In January of 2023, a scan showed that the tumors had shrunk to almost nothing. This was amazing news! But, because of Lynch Syndrome, Wes and his doctors made the difficult decision to remove his colon on Valentine's Day and decrease the odds of cancer coming back.
We are now 10 days after that surgery and just one day before Wes' 40th birthday. He is experiencing severe complications from the surgery and is not doing well. Mostly, we ask for prayers for Wes and his family. But, with all that he has been through, there has been a significant financial burden as well. If you would like to help this family during this time, a donation of any size would be a blessing and put towards paying bills until Wes can get back on his feet. I would love to give Wes and his family the gift of a little peace of mind as a 40th birthday present! Thank you and God Bless!
