Hi! Our names are Wes (also called Klon, they/them) and YaYa (they/he) and we are artists in Brooklyn. We are looking for support paying off $10,000 in backrent. We are theatre and drag artists in Brooklyn and with that our income is very sporadic. Wes has been unemployed on and off since November, save some theatre engagements here and there. They finally have a gig out of town for a few months, but the new income is still not covering the debt. YaYa has a day job but is struggling to get enough shifts per month to be able to afford our bills. Our landlords have threatened to kick us out and take us to court. We are having trouble even regularly feeding ourselves let alone pay back thousands of dollars from a time this winter where neither of us could find steady work. We would be eternally grateful for any donations or shares, we are at the end of our rope.
