Help Wes Lang's Loved Ones in Their Time of Need

Donation protected
Wesley “Wes” Lang was born on May 24, 1983. As a child, he was diagnosed with Wilson’s disease, a rare genetic disorder that led to liver failure. At just 12 years old, he was given a second chance at life through a liver transplant—an incredible gift that allowed him to live 28 more years filled with love, purpose, and cherished memories.

In 2024, Wes’s transplanted liver began to fail, and he courageously embarked on the difficult journey of seeking another transplant. On November 26, 2024, he received the long-awaited call from Emory University Hospital—both a liver and kidney had become available. Despite his hope and determination, Wes faced numerous complications in the following three months. His body endured setback after setback, and ultimately, his new organs began to fail.

On March 1, 2025, Wesley passed away due to complications from his original transplant. Despite a lifetime of health struggles, he never let his condition define him. His love for his family, the outdoors, and his enduring spirit left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

Due to his lifelong medical challenges, Wesley was denied life insurance. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Candace, and their two beloved children, Jason and Autumn. He is also survived by his loving parents, Dean and Lisa Lang, and his brother, Chris Lang. Though his time on earth was not long enough, his legacy of love, perseverance, and strength will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
