HELP WE’RE STRANDED :(

We are not the people to ever ask for help ... but the incredible support through people we’ve never met, pushing us to create this led us here.
We just bought this van and went on our annual road trip to Jackson hole WY, and on our way home on Sunday, the van developed this noise coming from the engine.. after two days of cursing and crying digging around in the doghouse we tried every DIY option we could to fix the van... being stuck in Jackson there were no mechanics that could help us so we headed to Idaho falls ID.
Now this morning we had two separate mechanics take a look to see what they thought. Within seconds both shops said the same thing... we would be looking at an entire new engine (piston problems)
this engine has less that 100k on it that kaylas dad (who is a mechanic) just rebuilt ... we couldn’t believe it,... but that’s part of traveling ...
(we also JUST remodeled the interior on it )
so now we are left with having to tow the car back to Portland OR (home) and rent a uhaul to drive it back...
and then from there after we have no idea what we will do... other than not have a car for the rest of the summer...♀️
The donations will at the least help us get our footing on some next steps in this dilemma, mechanic shops here are quoting us 5k to fix the van so there is no freaking way we can attempt to fix it, so the tow is are best bet (we have so much sh*t of ours in and on the van so leaving it is not really an option)
We are getting married in September so every credit card, savings account, piggy bank is already spent on our wedding,
believe us when we say we would never ask for help if we honestly did not absolutely need any help we could get.
