Wendy Perry and her three children have faced unimaginable loss and hardship in recent months. Patrick was a loving husband and father, but the disease of alcoholism took him away, leaving Wendy to care for their children on her own. The family is now at risk of losing their home, and the children may also lose their beloved emotional support pets if they cannot stay together. Wendy works tirelessly at a pre-school center from 9 to 6 every day, doing everything she can to provide stability and comfort for her kids during this difficult time. Despite her best efforts, the arrears on their mortgage have become overwhelming, and the threat of losing their home is very real. Wendy is able to keep up with the ongoing mortgage payments, but catching up on the missed payments is simply out of reach right now.

I have known Wendy and her family for almost 15 years. She is always the first to offer help to anyone in need and has given so much to our community. Now, she and her children need our support more than ever. We are applying for assistance through other channels, but those applications take time, and the urgency of their situation cannot wait.
