Help Wendy Regain Full Mobility Again – Support Her Recovery

On February 22, 2024, our lives changed forever. My wife, Wendy, suffered a partial Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) after going to a doctor's office for a radiofrequency ablation (RFA), a minimally invasive procedure that she has been undergoing since 2014, on average every 6 months, for chronic neck pain. After the last procedure at a new doctor's office, she was left with paralysis on her right side and sensation deficits on her left, a condition known as Brown-Séquard Syndrome. She spent nearly four weeks in the hospital, followed by countless hours of physical and occupational therapy to regain movement.
In February 2025, Wendy had the opportunity to attend Brooks Rehabilitation, a specialized SCI rehab center. There, she was introduced to a life-changing piece of equipment—the RT300 by Restorative Therapies (https://restorative-therapies.com/rt300/). The bike uses electrical stimulation while moving her arms and legs, helping to rebuild muscle mass, strength, endurance and vital neural connections in her spinal cord. In just 10 days of using the RT300, Wendy made needed progress—progress that could continue if she had daily access to the device. Unfortunately, no therapy centers in our area have this machine, leaving us with only one option: purchasing one for home use.The challenge is a new RT300 costs $36,000 for arms and legs, and insurance will not cover it. The machine is crucial for Wendy’s recovery and will be a lifelong tool to help her regain movement/function, maintain mobility, strength and endurance while working towards her ultimate goal—having all of her mobility and sensation restored.
It has been a long, hard recovery road thus far but with Wendy's faith in God, positive mindset and perseverance she has progressed from complete right side paralysis from C3 down to walking with a cane! However, she still has minimal use of her right shoulder, arm and hand ( she is right hand dominant). Please help her continue this remarkable progress. She still has a long road to full recovery and you can be part of her healing journey.
The cover picture was taken in Oct of 2023. Wendy is doing a Tree Pose, and one of her goals is to one day be able to do that pose again.
