My name is Wendy Epps Dudley and God is the head of my life. God has kept me so far and even when I’m sick, I feel blessed. I am a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter. In 2016, I was diagnosed with pancreatitis and now I need a transplant. Due to the nature of the surgery, Medicare will not cover the cost of the procedure. Your gift will be used to cover the cost of this life-saving surgery.
At this time, my condition has become chronic and I required hospitalization on three separate occasions in 2020. My pancreatic episodes have now damaged my pancreas and left scar tissue. Without surgery, my condition will continue to worsen.
The cause of my condition is unknown and genetic testing is being performed to try and determine the cause. This condition has severely impacted my quality of life. I have not been able to enjoy everyday living or special occasions with my family due to my illness.
