Mikkie is raising funds for Wendy, a close friend and former school teacher who has spent years caring for others. After giving so much to students and the community, Wendy is now facing an incredibly difficult season of life. Wendy lost her right leg, is battling cancer, and is living with high blood pressure. On top of these serious health challenges, Wendy is currently without stable housing and has been living in a car. With these medical conditions, that situation is not only heartbreaking, but urgent and unsafe.

This fundraiser is to help Wendy rebuild her life with dignity, stability, and hope. Donations will go toward emergency and longer-term housing, medical care, prosthetic support, mobility equipment, transportation, and basic living expenses while Wendy works to get connected with disability and healthcare benefits.
