Hi, my name is Wendy & I’m currently going through the hardest chapter in my life. I have no friends, family, or loved ones & I just don’t know where or who to turn to anymore.

I’m currently homeless after going through an eviction for over a year with one of the worst slumlords known to man. I have complied with everything asked of me & given all my savings to court fees & back rent they said I owed. Yet here I am, homeless, living in a hotel.

I was advised to withhold money during the eviction process because I was told I was going to be evicted anyway, only for my slumlord to have me committed on a 72-hour hold because I refused to pay until we went to court. I had paid everything I owed & when the time for court came, she lied about everything. Even though I had all my receipts for payments I’ve made & proof I had become current on payments, she still took my money & said I didn’t pay, even though I had proof I did.

Basically, she’s kicking everybody out and moving her family in. She’s trying to run a low-income family business and she’s kicking everybody out and moving her family in. She’s got her niece there, her nephew there, her grandson, great-grandson, both her sons and daughter, and best friend living here. I’m currently homeless and staying at a hotel for the next 6 days after that I’m completely lost. My only other option is getting a tent. I’ve applied to every open position I can find & also section 8/housing assistance. I’ve never had to do anything like this before but please I need any help I can get. Please help
