Help Wendy Perta

Wendy has been critically ill with liver trouble for a long time. She has been unable to work for months. Her husband Ralph is also disabled and not able to work at this time. Wendy can not afford the medications she needs, and she and Ralph are uninsured. Ralph does receive help for himself through Medicaid, but this money can not be used to help Wendy. She will eventually, hopefully, receive a liver transplant, but nothing is for certain about that, and no timetable is in place for that possibility. Her friends at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art hope to assist Wendy with raising money for her medical needs.
IMPORTANT: I have raised the goal to $3,000 from the original $1,000. This is because I did not initially know how extreme her immediate medical costs are.  Her immediate costs for needed tests and medicines run about 3,000 dollars at KU Med Center, though she is looking for less expensive options. Wendy is depositing donations into a separate account earmarked for her medical needs, as she has been told this will increase her chances for getting on a transplant list.
