Support Wendy in Healing Without Worry

Our mom, Wendy, has always been a fighter. She’s had a hard road in life, but anyone who knows her knows her tenacity. She’s the kind of person who shows up for others in her own way—never asking for anything in return. In fact, she would suffer silently before ever asking for help or “putting anyone out.” That’s just who she is. In fact, she may be a little grumpy with us for putting this call out.

But right now, she needs a community around her.

Wendy is having major surgery to remove two large cysts in her neck that have caused her daily pain for a long time. Her doctors have been clear: she needs an estimated 8–12 weeks (or longer!) of recovery, with no work and no lifting. As a housekeeper and bartender, taking time off simply isn’t financially possible for her. But going back to work too early would put her health at risk and anyone who knows her knows she’ll try to push herself before she’s ready.

We want her to heal fully, without fear, without rushing back to work, and without falling behind on essentials.
