Life changed overnight for me after a recent hospitalization

I have a condition called Budd-Chiari Syndrome. It is a rare and serious liver condition. My doctors have made it clear that I can no longer continue working my part-time job, and while I do receive disability benefits, the monthly amount barely covers basic necessities and falls far short of what I now need to survive and recover safely. As if the medical crisis wasn’t enough, I recently discovered that the electrical system in my home is failing. Only certain rooms have working electricity, creating unsafe living conditions and adding even more stress during an already overwhelming time.

Throughout my life, I have been very active in my church and have organized countless activities over the years. Giving back and supporting others has always been important to me, and now I find myself in a position where I need to ask for help.

Right now, I am doing everything I can to focus on my health. What I shouldn’t have to worry about is whether I can afford electricity, rent, or essential care. I have always worked hard and done my best to stay independent, but this season of life requires me to reach out for help. The funds raised will help cover outstanding and ongoing medical expenses, necessary electrical repairs to make my home safe, rent, utilities, and basic living expenses during my recovery. This support will allow me to focus on healing without the constant worry of affording essential care and a safe place to live.
