Help Wendy and Maia after losing beloved Ethan
Donation protected
Wendy, Joel, and Maia Morgan have lost their beautiful son and brother, Ethan Morgan, too soon at the age of 16. Ethan was brilliant, beautiful, funny, and a gifted technologist who was deeply loved by his family. He is also mourned by his Oak Hill School friends and their parents, his online friends, and anyone who was lucky enough to know him, even a little bit.
After this catastrophic loss Wendy is left with hospital bills and expenses related to end-of-life services, and needs to take time away from work to focus on healing. This is where we come in.
My name is Larissa, and I've been Wendy's friend since the moment we met in 2014. I got to know Ethan as Wendy's smart, shy, soulful son, and like you I'm truly devastated for Wendy. The Morgan family are creative, thoughtful, generous, and incredible fighters for what they think the world needs. They need us now.
We anticipate needing to cover hospital expenses of around $25,000 but we will adjust the goal up or down when we get final bills. In addition Wendy has to pay for the costs of cremation and related services ($4,500), counseling and grief support ($3,000), and we want to give Wendy the ability to focus on healing instead of work ($6,000/month for 3 months). We also want to fulfill Ethan's end-of-life wishes, so the Morgans will take his ashes to Japan, a place he dearly loved but never had the chance to visit ($5,000).
Any funds raised over and above the goal (which will likely shift when medical expenses are known) will be split between Wendy and Maia to help them ease work burdens and focus on healing.

Please give as much as you can to help Wendy and her family through these next incredibly difficult months. Thank you so much for your generosity, and for sharing this GoFundMe with your extended networks.
