Help Wendy and her boys rebuild after the LA fires

Donation protected
On the morning of January 8, 2025, the community of Pacific Palisades was abruptly transformed as a relentless wildfire swept through the area. Among the many affected is our dear friend, Wendy, and her family. Wendy got the call from her sons' school to come pick them up that morning. She grabbed her dog and nothing else...

Their home, filled with many sweet memories, was reduced to ashes, excepting one beautiful 4ft tall cement Buddha in their front yard. Her car, essential for daily life and her sons' school commute, was abandoned on the side of road when LAFD forced everyone to evacuate on foot during evacuation gridlock. Her small office space in Palisades Village where she offered energy healing and holistic fertility programs to so many burned to the ground. Even her sons' school, St. Matthews, is gone. In a matter of hours, the foundations of their lives vanished.

Despite this profound loss, Wendy's beautiful spirit shines through. She remains steadfast, providing comfort and hope to her sons, even as they face the daunting task of rebuilding their lives again. Her first purchase was two stuffed animals for her boys as comfort during this time, but they literally have nothing else.

In this time of need, we have established a GoFundMe campaign to support Wendy and her family. The funds will assist in replacing essential belongings, and ensuring her sons can continue their education and get their beloved baseball gloves and bats back.

Wendy has always been the first to offer help to others starting her career as an ER nurse, embodying the spirit of compassion, warmth, and love. And she certainly would never ask for help - this GoFundMe was set up with my urging so that she could try and piece back together her life more quickly. Your contribution, no matter the size, will make an impact on her and her sons' lives.

Please consider donating and sharing their story with your friends. Together, we can help them rebuild. I met Wendy 4 years ago when our paths crossed at our children's school. Our sons became fast friends, soul brothers, and she has remained one of my dearest friends since then.

Thank you. With Love, Liz Garfield (from Basalt, Colorado)
