Help Wendi a Victim of a Pedestrian Hit & Run
Donation protected
My name is Wanda and I am trying to help my niece Wendi and her boyfriend Anthony who were victims of a pedestrian hit and run on March 6th, 2021 at the intersection of US-1 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
The accident left Wendi in a coma for 3 days. She was left with a collapsed lung, 9 broken ribs, a shattered clavicle, 10 staples in her head and a metal rod and plate were put in her neck. Wendi has lost all mobility of her left arm. Anthony has suffered loss of his spleen and his left leg was shattered in 5 places.
Due to their injuries, they have both lost their jobs and are homeless. They have both tried to find work but are told to come back when fully healed. The are in desperate need of financial assistance.
Wendi was offered a pup tent and was told she would live behind the Fort Pierce Walmart where she could take a shower once every other a week at a mobile shower unit at a local church by Jane Sneed a Crisis Stabilization Manager in Florida.
My family and I have exhausted all resources financially and need assistance with helping my niece. I have personally spent over $4,000.00 on food, motel lodging and transportation. I have spent hours on the phone trying to find help from local churches, news reporters, police departments, homeless shelters (which there is a 2.5 year waitlist), physical therapy companies, and lawyers.
The driver is still at large and I have a team of lawyers and police officers working to find justice for my niece and her boyfriend who were left to die on the side of the road.
Any financial assistance would be put towards their lodging to keep them off the streets. I would also appreciate any advice on where to turn to next and prayers are always appreciated.
