Hi My name is Alice, and I am fundraising for my beloved deceased friend Wendong ( David) Teng, who has been my friend and co-worker in Christ for almost 25 years.

Dear friends, brothers, and sisters in Christ,

Our beloved Wen Dong, who is only 48 years old, has been courageously fighting melanoma cancer for over nine years - a medical miracle by every standard. The cancer spread to his lungs six years ago, and spread to his head last year. God’s strength and faith, alongside your loving prayers and support, has carried him and his family through countless challenges.

Today, I come to you with a heavy heart and an urgent plea. Over the past weeks, top medical experts and Wen Dong’s long-time oncologist in China have confirmed that his cancer has now spread diffusely to his brain. The doctors have told us that he is in the final stage, and that no further treatments can be offered. Even a hospital transfer has been ruled out - his fragile condition on ventilator support means that his body can no longer endure additional interventions. We are now told he may have just one to two weeks left.

Despite this prognosis, we believe that Wen Dong's life is in God's hands, not man’s. What is impossible for people is still possible with God. The Lord who raised Lazarus, gave sight to the blind, and healed the broken is still powerful today. We are still praying for a miracle.

We are hoping to bring Wen Dong out of the ICU so that his family (including his elderly parents, his elder brother and sister), can personally care for him, speak with him, and support his dignity and comfort in these critical final days.

But after 9 years of fighting with cancer, Wen Dong's family now has a financial crisis. This time, the costs of ICU care in Beijing, being ventilator support, medications, and potential palliative care, are overwhelming. As his condition worsens, daily expenses now exceed what his family can carry alone.

我叫曹敏（Alice Cao），今天我为我认识超过 25 年的好友文东（David）发起筹款。

亲爱的文东弟兄，年仅48岁，已经勇敢地与黑色素瘤抗争了九年多——在医学上，这已经是一个奇迹。6 年前癌细胞扩散到肺部，从去年开始又扩散到了脑部。一路走来，全靠上帝的力量、信心，以及大家的祷告和支持，才让他和他的家人走过无数的艰难时刻。

今天，我怀着沉重的心情和紧急的请求来到大家面前。过去几周，北京的顶尖的医学专家和文东的主治医生确认：癌细胞已经弥漫性地转移到他的脑部。医生告知我们，他已进入生命的最后阶段，无法再进行任何治疗。由于他目前无法自主呼吸，只能依靠呼吸机维持生命，身体极为虚弱，连转院都无法承受。医生判断，他可能只剩下 1 到 2 周的时间。

尽管如此，我们深信文东的生命掌握在上帝手中，而不是人的手中。我们希望能将文东从 ICU 转出，让他的家人（包括年迈的父母、哥哥和姐姐）能够亲自在他身边照料他、与他说话交流，在这关键的最后时光中给予尊严与安慰。但是过去9年与疾病的挣扎，已经让这个家庭捉襟见肘。考虑到目前接下来的北京 ICU 的医疗费用、呼吸机维持、药物治疗，以及可能的安宁疗护费用，都高得惊人。随着病情恶化，每日的花销已远超家人所能负担。
