Hi, my name is Amanda, and I’m writing this on behalf of myself, my partner Chris, and our sweet girl, Wedgie.

Wedgie is a 4-year-old Cattle Dog mix who is still in her cheeky, puppy-like phase. She’s been a blessing to our lives, and we want to do everything in our power to help her through the battle she’s facing now.

A little bit about us: Before Wedgie entered our lives, I was casually working in a warehouse, unsure about my career path. My partner Chris is a respected tattooist with over 13 years of experience. We've been together for 4.5 years, and when we met Wedgie in January 2021, we knew she was the one. At just 6 weeks old, she captured our hearts, and we made the decision to adjust our lives to give her the best future possible.

I went on to start my own Lash & Brow business, eventually co-owning a salon in our local area, which has been incredibly fulfilling. All of this wouldn't have been possible without Wedgie’s presence in our lives. Chris and I are both deeply bonded with her—she’s not just a dog to us; she’s family.

Now, for the difficult part of our story.

On January 23rd, 2025, we received the heartbreaking news that Wedgie has been diagnosed with Lymphoma Cancer. We were fortunate to catch it early. Her blood work and chest X-rays show that the cancer has not spread beyond her lymph nodes at this stage. With chemotherapy and the help of our amazing veterinary oncologists, we are hopeful that we can help her into remission.

Wedgie started her first round of chemotherapy on January 24th, 2025. We're waiting to learn more about the type and stage of her lymphoma to choose the best treatment plan moving forward.

While we’re fortunate to have pet insurance, the financial burden is still significant, and the cost of her treatment and the time away from work is overwhelming. We've set up this GoFundMe to give us a safety net in case anyone is able and willing to help.
