I am a Canadian hosting this fundraiser for Wedad Alwan. Money donated will be transferred to a third party in the UAE who will in turn transfer it directly to Wedad. Wedad's message is as follows:

I am writing to you with a heavy heart from Gaza, a place that has been devastated by unimaginable destruction. My family and I are now living in a torn tent, after our home was completely destroyed. We have no shelter, and the destruction surrounds us on all sides. The pain and suffering are beyond words.

Our beloved Esra, who once dreamed of a bright future, now faces a harsh reality with no place to study or feel safe. Noor, who used to fill our home with laughter, is now filled with fear and uncertainty. And Hassan, who has always been strong, is carrying the burden of this crisis for us all, trying to stay strong.

We are in urgent need of support. Your donations will help bring a glimmer of hope to our lives and enable us to survive through these dark times. Anything, no matter how small, will make a huge difference for us.
