Help Webbie Get On His Feet To Walk Down The Aisle

My name is Webster Casseus, I’m a 34 year old father of two girls and fiancé to a beautiful young lady by the name of Brittanee. This is my testimony.

During the week of September 13th, 2021 I wasn’t feeling like my normal self. I had just lost a close cousin to Covid and wanted to attend the funeral but said I wanted to rule out Covid before attending the service. After a rapid and PCR test both came back negative.

I knew now I couldn’t attend the funeral service because I was still ill but more importantly I didn’t know what exactly was wrong with me. I checked myself into the hospital on September 17th, 2021 and that forever changed my life.

I learned I had produced a small rare post covid infection in the back of my mouth that created an abscess that doctors planned to surgically remove. In the middle of the process, the abscess shrunk and went away but doctors wanted to monitor me.

The infection was still there and had put my kidneys, heart and lungs into septic shock and shut down. The doctors told my fiancée and parents the best option was to sedated and start the intubation procedure.

I was intubated for a week until I woke up and responded the nurse who then contacted my family to break the news. I had surprised everyone because of how the severe the situation was; no one knew or expected me to come out of it alive.

On September 27th, they had the intubation tube removed and I was put on oxygen to assist with my breathing. Though I had awakened, the journey was far from over. I had to go under dialysis treatment and numerous other treatments for several weeks, had several tubes connected to my neck to withdraw blood and more. I also truly couldn’t eat as I wanted because I had damaged in and outside of mouth.

Fast forward to October 5th, all the doctors and specialists rule that I’m okay to go home with a walker but I will need physical therapy to regain the strength and knowledge of living my previous life. I’ll tell you each day is a milestone because it has been difficult for me. Luckily with the support of family and friends I’m working through it.

I am now going to be placed on disability until further noticed and unable to work until they deem fit. I have a wedding coming up and that date isn’t moving because it’s special to us. February 20th, 2022.

This is a campaign is strictly for medical and household bills but also provide a helping hand in the wedding me and fiancée started preparing for while I go through this recovery process.

God bless you all.
