Asking for help after the Lahaina wildfires: 

The Webb family, hailing from Napa, California, embarked on a new journey to reconnect with their extended family in Maui back in March 2023. Andrew Webb, wife Samantha, 16-year-old daughter Aurora, and 13-year-old son William, sought to forge a closer bond with their relatives while embracing a new chapter of their lives. 

Upon arriving, they were fortunate to find solace with Samantha's father-in-law, who graciously opened his doors and offered them a temporary home on his couch. The tight-knit family spent the first couple of months on this couch, creating precious memories despite the modest accommodations. 

Simultaneously, they undertook the arduous task of renovating a tiny home nestled in the property's backyard. A few months of collective effort yielded a cozy ohana that would soon become their haven.

With the completion of the tiny home, the Webbs joyously transitioned into their new abode, relishing in the feeling of accomplishment they set out to establish themselves in the Lahaina community.

Andrew found employment as a dinner waiter aboard the Maui Princess, treating passengers to breathtaking sunset dinner cruises. Meanwhile, 16-year-old Aurora Webb found her stride working as a hostess at Cool Cat Cafe, a role she adored and excelled in. 

Just as the Webbs were beginning to find their footing and settle into their island life, tragedy struck. A devastating fire swept through their neighborhood, obliterating all they had painstakingly built and accumulated. 

Despite the profound loss, the family remains resilient, taking comfort in the fact that their loved ones were unharmed and all accounted for. 

The Webbs now face the daunting task of rebuilding once again, drawing strength from their unity and the unwavering support of their newfound West Maui community. Their story is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the power of familial bonds, showcasing that even in the face of adversity, the love and togetherness of a family can endure and triumph over challenges.

All funds raised will go directly to the family. At this time finding safe, stable housing is paramount. The family has also lost any modes of transportation, which has hindered their ability to be self sufficient. We are thankful to all who have taken the time to read this story.
