My name is Kim Morera and I live in Stanwood, Washington.
I've known Wayne Spencer since 1974 when I was introduced to him by my late husband, David.
Wayne was a loyal best friend to Dave for 40 years, and when Dave was in his last days of battling cancer, Wayne wouldn't think twice about jumping in his truck and driving 12 hours to Washington State just to lend moral support to his best friend.
After David passed, Wayne would drive up to Washington State and do carpentry that made an old run down cabin I purchased livable.
He'd refuse to take even a penny for gas money.
That's the kind of selfless soul he is.
Wayne, his daughter Raena and grandson Charles that live with him, lost their rental house and all their possessions, including Wayne's work tools, in the Mariposa/Oak forest fire.
Wayne is always unselfishly helping people.
NOW is the time to give Wayne the compassion and help he so freely offers to others.
Right now, they need funds for temporary housing, household goods, replacing clothes and to purchase tools so Wayne can continue to support himself.
Anything you can donate will be gratefully appreciated and used to help get Wayne, Raena and Charles back on their feet after losing EVERYTHING in this devastating fire.
