Wayne was born in 1949 and faced a life-changing challenge at just three months old when he contracted polio. The illness left lasting effects on both his legs and his shoulder, but Wayne never let it slow him down. He raised five children, worked tirelessly for over 40 hours a week, and always found time to help others. Wayne is the kind of person who would stop to fix a stranger’s car on the side of the road or quietly show kindness in countless small ways. His generosity and strength have touched many lives over the years.

Over Labor Day weekend, Wayne experienced the worst fall of his life. For a moment, he feared he was paralyzed. Thankfully, no bones were broken, but there may be serious damage to his right shoulder. Wayne is now staying with his daughter, three hours from his home, while they work together to get him the medical care he needs. The biggest challenge right now is mobility. Both showers in the house are upstairs, and without a stair chair, Wayne cannot safely reach them. This equipment is essential for his comfort and safety, allowing him to access the shower and maintain his dignity during recovery.

Wayne has always been someone who gives without asking for anything in return. Now, his family is reaching out for support to help him regain the comfort and safety he deserves.
