Help Wayne Mabie Overcome Medical Crisis

Go Fund Me for Wayne Mabie and family.

As you may or may not know, our son-in-law, Wayne Mabie, had emergency surgery for a perforated bowel on May 29th. The four-hour surgery included a resection of his intestines to include a colostomy. Antibiotic-resistant bacteria were found in his abdominal cavity leading to sepsis. His incision has remained open for drainage. Once the bacteria and infection are gone, he will have another surgery to reverse the colostomy in approximately 3-6 months. This Go Fund Me is being created to help offset the thousands of dollars being billed that insurance isn’t paying, and to help the family as my daughter has had to close her small business often to care for him. A PICC line was inserted for antibiotics, nursing care at home, wound care, medical supplies, doctor bills, hospital bills etc. are piling up.

If at all possible, please donate whatever you can to help my daughter and Wayne with medical expenses and financial assistance during this difficult time.

Update: Wayne was admitted to the hospital last night. He has developed a blood clot in his right lung. He will remain in the hospital for approximately 3 days on IV medication to begin dissolving the blood clot. Please continue to keep Wayne and Heather in your prayers.
