Help Wayne Rebuild His Life

This is hard to type out... Wayne has had a rough 2025. It's gotten so bad that he is embarrassed to even leave his house now. His wife (although rocky for the last 2 decades) passed away in January unexpectedly in their house. Then his dog died shortly afterward. He has been in total depression for months. His legs and feet are so swollen, but he knows he doesn't have any money to go to the doctor.

His sister finally reached out to me to see if I could help get his finances and life back in line. Thursday, I went over to his house and learned his AC wasn't working, his gas had been turned off, and his cellphone disconnected. I asked him where all his money went, and he didn't have an answer. His sister and niece had taken over it all, and it all went to crap. I then said, okay, well if I'm going to help, I'm gonna have to review it all. I gathered every single piece of mail I found in his house. I spent Thursday and Friday night going through it all. Laid out his game plan and he agreed.

After going through everything and canceling a few things he doesn't need right now, we are still looking at like 3k in bills to get his household back in line. I paid out of my pocket to have his AC fixed on Friday morning. That was the most important thing due to how hot it is now. The gas is 1200 to get turned back on. His phone is past due 600 bucks. The list goes on. We aren't even talking about his medical debt. I told him not to worry about that; we need to worry about basic needs at this point: house payment, electricity, gas, water, and insurance.

After talking to a few co-workers about it, a couple have suggested I do a GoFundMe so we can maybe raise enough funds to get at least his hot water back on (the gas bill). Anything will be greatly appreciated. If you want to see receipts, I'll be happy to share them.
