Wayne is continuing to make progress. He is slowly getting his strength back & still tires easily.
We are so greatfull for your continued support ♥️
** Update 5/11/25
I posted two more photos. These are to show just how serious open heart surgery is. The first is the next day after surgery after the respirator had been removed. The second is two days ago at home.
Wayne is extremely sore & weak; but, he continues to work at getting his strength back. Eight to twelve weeks is a loooong time when you can't do alot for yourself. Especially when you have been as active as he has.
Again we can't thank all of our family & friends who have supported us through this. ♥️
** Update 5/7/25
Wayne was discharged on Monday. No pacemaker is necessary. YAY!!
As you would expect his chest really hurts. He walks as much as possible. He is working on getting his strength back & tires easily.
Wayne & I cannot express our gratitude enough for the donations and support that he is receiving. ♥️♥️
**Update 5/4/25
Wayne is doing so much better. Chest tubes are gone. And he is walking so much better.
There is a possibility of a pacemaker. Right now his heart is skipping a beat. HOWEVER; that still correct itself in the next week or so.
We hope he can go home tomorrow or Tuesday.
It's unbelievable what the human body goes through with heart surgery.
**Update 5/2/25
Yay, Wayne has been moved to PCU!
Wayne is walking more & gradually getting better. He tires easily.
**Update 4/30/25
I'm sorry for the delay today. Wayne is doing much better than yesterday. Looking forward to getting out of CVICU soon & getting his room in I'm PCU.
**Update 4/29/25, 1:40 pm
Wayne out of surgery about 1/2 hr. ago. All went well. The valve and AFib have been repaired. On to ICU for 1-2 days then to his room.
**Update 4/29/25
Wayne is in currently in surgery. Hopefully to be done between 12 & 2 pm
Thank you everyone for your support ♥️
**Update.. Wayne's surgery has been delayed due to hospital emergency surgeries. Causing him even more loss of work income. And added stress.
Wayne is my fiance.
He is having open heart surgery. His health insurance should cover most all of his medical bills. However; Wayne will be out of work for approximately twelve weeks. Retirement social security will not cover his living expenses (rent, heat, food etc.) Any contribution to help with these is greatly appreciated.
