Update:

Thank you everyone that has helped. The shower has been installed and has been a blessing to use. I am going to leave the Fundraiser open as way for those who want to continue helping or cannot think of a way of helping another way. Currently my situation is not looking great. I have discontinued chemo and taking one last shot with a Targeted drug. After that, the doctor is recommending Hospice. Sorry for sounding a little down, but I also need a lot of prayers. Story:

Hello, my name is Wawa. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer in May of 2021. I am currently still undergoing chemotherapy treatments. I never thought that I would need to reach out for as much help as I need now. My health has slowly been declining, but I had an incident that put me in the Emergency Room on July 7, 2025. Something happened that put me in a tremendous amount of pain. I stayed in the hospital for the week to get the pain under control. Whatever happened to my lower back and hip during this time has made my left hip unusable. I am unable to lift my left leg now. My current condition has left me for the most part bed ridden and had to get a hospital bed for the home as per the Doctor, PT, and OT at UNC-REX.

Why I am asking for help now is that my financial needs have slowly depleted what I have, and now I am starting to worry. I have a few large medical bills that insurance is not covering. I also need a new shower so that I will be able to take a bath. My current shower step-in is way too high at 12 inches. It blows my mind how expensive a new shower remodel is, but it is something that I need to do to make it more accessible and safer for me to get clean.

Sorry for the long story, but I feel as though I needed to have a little back story along with my current needs. I thank everyone that is willing to help donate; every little bit will be appreciated.
