Help Waverley City Wanderers Rebuild After Devastating Fire
Donation protected
45 Years of History Lost — But Not Our Spirit
On the weekend, tragedy struck our beloved Waverley City Wanderers Football Club. A devastating fire tore through our pavilion at Mayfield Park Reserve, destroying everything in its path — our home, our heart, and our history.
Gone in minutes were 45 years of memories: trophies, pennants, club photos, historical records — everything we were preparing to proudly showcase this year as we celebrated our legacy. We also lost all of our kitchen equipment, matchday gear, training supplies, and essential facilities for players and supporters.
This loss affects not just our club, but the broader community. Waverley City Wanderers is more than just a football team — we’re a grassroots family club that has brought together generations of locals, juniors, seniors, and volunteers since 1980.
Now, we need your help.
What We’re Raising Funds For:
Replacing essential training and match-day equipment
Rebuilding our kitchen and canteen operations
Restoring our memorabilia and re-creating our historical records
Helping our teams continue playing this season with dignity
No donation is too small. Every dollar helps us rebuild what the fire took away. Let’s show that our community spirit is stronger than any flame.
Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support.
