Help Wanted! - Laura's Luncheonette & Gill Family

Hello to our friends, families, and community. If you recognize these photos, you surely have experienced the food, fun, love, and laughter served up at Laura's Luncheonette. Laura's has fed our hearts, our souls, and our appetite for 50 years! Knowing Jimmy, Barbara and Laura has been a blessing to so many of us. They have ALWAYS been the first to help out families and friends in our community with food, a conversation, and a visit during difficult times. This ICONIC diner has moved from the South Side to Front Street and Hillcrest with, as Barbara so lovingly stated, "We have kept this diner going with the generous help of friends and families through all the relocating."

Together Laura and her children Jimmy and Barbara have touched our lives. Now they need our help and support.

On June 11th, the family was delivered life-altering news. The Gill family is processing the devastating news that Jimmy has been diagnosed with inoperable tumor-Large B-Cell Lymphoma. After 3 weeks in the hospital, Jimmy has been moved to the Bridgewater Facility to heal from a surgical repair of the intestine (which Barabara said "...is our first miracle! ")and gain strength as he awaits further tests and appointments with Oncologists. At this time, Laura's Diner, Jimmy and Barabara's source of income is closed indefinitely, as they continue to wait for oncology appointments and potential treatment plans. As you can imagine this is a serious financial hardship, covering 2 households and business-related bills. We are asking friends, family, and the community to PLEASE RISE UP again.
