Aloha everyone. We are writing this in behalf of our beloved friend, Wanda Wong, a long time local resident from Kaua'i and a caring, loving dog mom to three wonderful sweet dogs Ben (13), Vella (2) , and Haku (1).

About one week ago, Wanda’s beloved dog, Vella, got viciously attacked by a loose, unsupervised large sized dog at the Wailua Homesteads dog park located on the east side of Kaua'i. Vella was left with multiple open bleeding punctures and wounds, rushed to an emergency clinic on the north shore of Kaua’i. The woman who owned the dog that attacked Vella has made no attempt to reach back out and contact Wanda, and unfortunately, we have not seen or heard from her since this incident. (Any tips regarding this incident would be appreciated, we have no luck so far in identifying the woman as we did not get the woman's name, cell phone number, or any details)

Since then, Vella has made multiple costly visits to receive crucial veterinary care due to her injuries. Over this past week, Wanda and Vella traveled to Honolulu to seek emergency care due to Vella's external, continuous bleeding from the sustained injuries.

As you may imagine, expenses for travel, food, transportation, room & board, (and most notably veterinary care expenses) are rapidly increasing during this difficult time. The bills and expenses are rising, becoming very overwhelming for Wanda which is why we have organized this fundraiser to help her cover these expensive bills and costs regarding this unexpected situation. If you know Wanda, she is full of Aloha and she is not one to ask for help, but is one to show up without questions in times of need… which is why we are reaching out to the community for donations during this difficult time.
