Hello!

My name is Grecia and today I just want all attention for my girl.

This is Wanda.

She's not just my dog, She's my family, my baby, my heart, and the only companion who has been with me through my worst and best moments.

But her story didn't begin here. Wanda was born in Peru, in a place where animals have no voice, where many are abandoned, ignored, left on the streets without food, water, or love.

When I found her, along with her sister—my Golden Retriever—they were malnourished, thin, weak, surviving however they could.

That day I made a promise:

"They will never be alone again. I'm going to get them out of here." And I kept that promise.

I worked, saved, sold things, did everything I could, I paid more than $20,000 for paperwork, vaccinations, quarantines, and flights to bring them with me to the United States.

It was the biggest and most difficult journey of their lives…

but it was also the beginning of their new life, here, in this country, they finally had:

a home

a clean bed

food every day

safety

warmth

and a love they had never known before

Wanda and her sister Golden were inseparable, they slept together, walked together, traveled thousands of miles together. They were rescued together and They were a family.

But last year I lost my Golden, She's gone, and a part of me went with her.

Wanda remains my only piece of that rescue, my last link to the history I fought so hard to change.

My reason for getting up every morning, especially when I was alone, when I migrated, when I had no one then She was always there with me. Always!

And now… Wanda is very ill.

A few days ago, she started getting weaker, stopped eating, and recently began bleeding from the mouth.

I took her to the vet immediately.

After tests and x-rays, they told me she has a serious gum infection and needs urgent surgery to prevent it from spreading.

The surgery costs $1,468.83.

This includes anesthesia, x-rays, and the complex extraction, but not medications or post-operative care.

I work full-time, I do everything I can, but I'm going through a very difficult time financially due to medical and legal expenses, and unexpected emergencies and I don't have any family here who can pay for this.

I have no savings right now, but I have Wanda… and I want to give her the chance to live without pain.

That's why I'm asking for help, because Wanda doesn't deserve to suffer again.

Because I don't want to fail her, because she's already survived so much in this life, because she deserves another chance.
