Help Wanda get her life saving kidney transplant

Hi, my name is Katie and myself and my family are reaching out on behalf of our incredible mother, daughter, sister, and new grandmother, Wanda.

For the past 7 years, Wanda has been battling kidney failure and enduring the exhausting routine of dialysis. Despite everything, she’s faced each day with courage, grace, and hope for a better tomorrow. As some of you may or may not know, travel to Halifax is necessary to undergo a kidney transplant as they are not available in NL. Now, she’s been given a second chance — a call for a kidney transplant in Halifax.

This is her second trip — she courageously made the journey in 2022, only to return home without receiving the transplant. It was heartbreaking , but Wanda never gave up. Now, she’s been called again, and we are all hoping and praying this will be the time her life changes for the better. That long awaited second chance is here.

Wanda and Ron will need to stay in Halifax for at least two weeks. The costs are significant: flights, accommodations, meals, and other day-to-day expenses while away from home. After her hospital stay, Wanda will need to remain nearby to recover safely before traveling home.

We’re asking for your support to help lift the financial burden off their shoulders so they can focus on what really matters — Wanda’s health and recovery.
