Help Wanda Brown Rebuild After Tornado
Donation protected
I started this fundraiser for my sister Wanda Brown. You may have seen her house on any of the Philadelphia news stations last night as a tornado touched down in her neighborhood in Collins Lakes Buena Vista Township. A tree fell right on top of her house as you can see Wanda could really use some help with the costs that she is going to have to endure until she can move back in, that insurance doesn't cover. As of May 23, she and her cats are living at a hotel until the insurance co decides if her house needs to be demolished and rebuilt or if it can be repaired.
Her neighbors have been wonderful and have helped with the cleanup outside. The fire department and a tree Surgeon had to come out to remove the tree, but she still has so much more to do.
*UPDATE FROM WANDA:
It’s really quite overwhelming when you’re home working and a tornado touches down on your house and throws a giant oak tree through it; but all the love and support that has followed is also overwhelming.
I would like to convey my deepest gratitude to my family, friends, and all the compassionate people who felt compelled to help. My home is unsafe in its current state, so my cats and I are temporarily displaced, but we’re unharmed, we’re safe, and we’re blessed… twitching and still on high alert, but blessed nonetheless. There will be challenges ahead so thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and God bless you.
Sincerely,
Wanda Brown
