Kawanalaulani is a mana wahine and my soul sister. She is the mother of three kanaka maoli boys and has raised them to be kind and pono. Wana has blessed her ohana and lahui with her generosity and kindness her whole life.
She has been going through a divorce process for over seven years. During the divorce proceedings she has was robbed from her home of priceless one of a kind works of art and all of her valuable possessions. The hardest one being her rocking chair that she nursed all of her keiki in. Wana is excited for the birth of her mo’opuna and wants to continue to be a safe place for her loved ones to gather, eat, laugh and love one another.
The judge will make a final ruling in August to force her to sell her home or it will go into foreclosure. My very proud, resilient, beautiful friend would rather sleep in her truck than ask for help. Even though she has blessed, raised and taken in so many of us in our community with open arms.
Now that the divorce is final, these funds would help Wana save her home. Any help goes directly to Kawanalaulani to help rebuild her life and start the next chapter as a tutu. My hope is that it will renew her faith that there are still honest and generous people in the world that reflect her beautiful heart. Mahalo nui loa! Me ke aloha. I love you forever. I trust in mu pu’uwai that you will be divinely guided, protected and blessed. Mahalo nui loa Ke Akua️✨
