Help Wambui en Modester hun droom waarmaken: een opleiding doen en op de ambulance gaan werken.
Wambui (23) en Modester (21) zijn twee gedreven jonge vrouwen die al vanaf het begin betrokken zijn bij Adia Organisation. Na de middelbare school hadden ze geen mogelijkheid om verder te studeren en werkten ze in een kleine food business om rond te komen. Alleen is deze food business recent gestopt vanwege de grote financiële druk in Kenia. Toch bleef één wens altijd op de achtergrond: zich verder ontwikkelen om mensen te kunnen helpen. Wambui wil graag op de ambulance werken als chauffeur terwijl modester het verpleegkundige werk op de ambulance wil doen.
Via Adia Organisation willen we hen nu als eersten de kans geven om de eenjarige opleiding voor Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training te volgen. Adia organisation is een uitsluitend Keniaanse NGO / organisatie en daarom creëren we een fundraising op deze manier. We hebben eerder ook de basis- en middelbare schoolkosten van studenten ondersteund en willen graag samen met jullie de volgende stap zetten! Deze opleiding kunnen ze volgen in Thika aan de ICT college, vanaf januari 2026. Met deze opleiding kunnen ze ambulancewerk doen, eerste hulp verlenen en snel handelen in noodsituaties – vaardigheden die in Kenia een groot verschil kunnen maken.
Ze hebben dit meer dan verdiend door hun jarenlange inzet en betrokkenheid. In Kenia bestaat studiefinanciering maar met allerlei limitaties, waardoor Wambui en Modester er geen gebruik van kunnen maken. Dat betekent dat zij zélf hun collegegeld, materialen én dagelijkse kosten moeten betalen terwijl ze fulltime studeren. Zonder steun is dat in Kenia onmogelijk, dit terwijl wij ervan overtuigd zijn dat iedereen deze kans op het volgen van een vervolgopleiding en daarbij een betere toekomst verdient.

- Schoolgeld (incl. inschrijving, studentenpas, bibliotheek, verzekering, internet) – KES 70.000

- Indien mogelijk zorgverzekering, reiskosten en algemene kosten zoals huisvesting en eten - KES 9000 per maand
Medische spullen zoals een stethoscoop , saturatiemeter , temperatuurmeter zijn door onze bestuursleden al in Kenia. We hopen ook heel erg bij te kunnen dragen aan hun dagelijkse kosten, zoals huur, eten en vervoer, omdat zij tijdens de studie niet kunnen werken. Zoals hierboven is vermeld.
Totaal:
- Schoolkosten voor allebei KES 224 000 (ongeveer €1378 *)
- Indien mogelijk dagelijkse kosten voor allebei voor 1 jaar KES 216 000 (ongeveer €1460*) , na het betalen van hun appartementje houden zij dan €1,50 per persoon per dag over voor andere dagelijkse kosten zoals transport en eten.

Mochten de donaties overstromen, zal Adia Organisation heel graag het overige geld voor de (hopelijk) volgende student(en) gebruiken.

Help Wambui and Modester achieve their dream: to study and work on the ambulance.
Wambui (23) and Modester (21) are two dedicated young women who have been involved with Adia Organisation from the very beginning. After finishing high school, they had no opportunity to continue their studies and instead worked in a small food business to make ends meet. Yet, one wish always remained in the background: to further develop themselves in order to help people. Wambui dreams of working as an ambulance driver, while Modester wants to do nursing work on the ambulance.
Through Adia Organisation, we now want to give them—our very first candidates—the opportunity to take the one-year Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training. Adia Organisation is a Kenyan NGO, which is why we are setting up this fundraising campaign. In the past, we have supported students with primary and secondary school fees, and now we would love to take the next step together with you! The training will take place in Thika at ICT College, starting in January 2026. With this qualification, they will be able to work in ambulance services, provide first aid, and act quickly in emergencies—skills that can make a huge difference in Kenya.
They have more than earned this chance through their years of commitment and involvement. In Kenya, student loans exist but with many limitations, meaning that Wambui and Modester are not eligible. This means they must cover their tuition fees, materials, and daily living expenses themselves while studying full-time. Without support, this is impossible—yet we strongly believe that everyone deserves a chance at a better future.

Medical items such as a stethoscope, pulse oximeter, and thermometer have already been provided by our board members in Kenya. We also very much hope to contribute towards their daily living costs—such as rent, food, and transport—since they cannot work while studying, as mentioned above.

- If possible daily living costs for both for 1 year: KES 216,000 (approx. €1,460*) – after paying rent, they will have about €1.50 per person per day left for other essentials like food and transport.
