Our family is humbly asking for help from our dog loving community as we navigate some difficult decisions for our boy. 

After multiple blood tests, ultrasound and xray, our 7 yr old boxer, Walter has been diagnosed with Anal gland adenocarcinoma paired with an enlarged lymph node in his belly. 

The best option for treatment will be surgery (est. $4-$6000) to remove the cancer and lymph node followed by chemotherapy (est. $4-$600 per treatment every 3 weeks)

Walter has been put on a steroid to support his kidney function and his surgery is scheduled in 1 week, October 3rd. 

We had a very short amount of time between getting the news and determining a treatment plan but we are determined to get him the care he needs and to keep him here as long as we can.
