Hello my name is Walt! 

We are ALMOST at the Finish Line… less than 24hrs away from Open heart surgery!!! 

Dr. Marvin Atkins, a prominent heart surgeon at Houston Methodist Hospital, will be performing the procedure to repair my Severe Aortic Stenosis by replacing my aortic valve. I am fortunate to have him on my cardiovascular team. 

Quite recently I was fitted for my first prosthetic leg and have been undergoing physical therapy to learn how to walk again. 

 Dr. Atkins required me to be fully mobile and walking independently before the heart surgery, scheduled for early January 15th 2026. 

 I am determined to maintain a positive attitude and be grateful for the opportunity to celebrate life every day. 

 I created this page to assist my family in covering my medical expenses, basic bills, food, and medications during my recovery period.
