Help Wally the Feral Porch Cat Get LifeSaving Dental Surgery

Donation protected
Meet Wally—a gentle, scruffy and weathered soul who lives on my front porch. He’s a feral cat who showed up one day and never left, and over time, he’s come to trust me. I feed him and give him fresh water twice a day, and he has a heated cat house to keep him safe through the harsh Toronto winters. Though he lives outdoors, he’s very much a part of my heart and home.

Recently, I took Wally to the vet for the very first time—paid entirely out of pocket. That’s when we learned the heartbreaking news: Wally is suffering from a painful dental infection. One of his teeth is badly infected, and without proper treatment, the infection could spread and put his life at risk.

He’s now on Clindamycin, an antibiotic to help reduce the infection for now, but it’s just a temporary fix to keep him comfortable until enough funds can be raised for him to undergo dental surgery. Unfortunately, Wally needs more than just the one tooth treated—he requires additional dental work, including multiple extractions, to fully restore his health and relieve him of the chronic pain he’s likely been silently enduring for a long time.

The vet says he urgently needs dental surgery, and the cost is $1300—something I simply can’t afford on my own.

I’m asking for help to give Wally the chance at the healthy, pain-free life he deserves. He’s had a hard life on the streets, but now that he’s found a place of safety and love, I want to do everything I can to care for him—truly care for him.

Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly to the Upper Bathurst Animal Clinic in North York, Toronto. I’m setting up this fundraiser, but I want to make it clear that I will not be receiving any of the funds personally. The clinic is kindly accepting donations directly on Wally’s behalf and will keep a dedicated fund for him. If donations go beyond the cost of the dental procedure, the clinic has agreed to hold the excess in Wally’s name for any future veterinary care he may need.

Please consider helping Wally. He may be a feral cat, but he’s never asked for much—just a little food, a warm place to rest, and someone to look out for him. Now he needs us more than ever.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart,

Laura & Wally
