Wally was rescued from an abuse situation and had a rough life before joining our family. He's a grumpy boy until he gets to know you, but once he does, he loves with his whole heart. Wally has been in our lives for 8 years and was only recently diagnosed with diabetes. This past weekend, he went into diabetic ketoacidosis and has been suffering. He has been to three different emergency vets and had a variety of emergency care and procedures. It's touch and go at the moment, and costs are quickly becoming unmanageable, especially since Shawn was laid off two weeks ago.

Wally is being seen by both Animal Friends and Rivers Emergency care, who are working together to hospitalize and care for him each day. Every day is over a thousand dollars in care. We cannot use Waggle for fundraising because they require a finalized vet bill, and since Wally's care is ongoing, we can't provide that. All funds we receive will go directly to Wally's vet care and medications. Wally's quality of life is what's most important to us, and we want to keep him comfortable and happy while the vets try to stabilize his diabetes. The funds raised will help give him the best chance at recovery and help us manage these overwhelming expenses.
