Help Walla’s Family Escape War to Safety
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Melissa, in the US, and I’m organizing this fundraiser to help my friend Walla’s family to escape Gaza. All funds are sent securely via bank transfer and receipts are available.
Time is of the essence. They are in Rafah with bombs exploding around them day and night. As a parent, I can think of few things worse than being unable to protect my children.
Please consider donating— no amount is too small, it all adds up! If you can’t donate, sharing helps tremendously. Let’s get Walla’s family to safety, and let Walla get back to his disability advocacy work.
Money raised will be used to get to Egypt via Ya Hala, and anything remaining will be for living expenses.

Please read Walla’s story, below:
We are a small family: Father Walla, 39, mother Heba, 37, and our three young daughters. Our oldest, Lujain, 10, loves to draw and write stories. Jouri is 8, very social and participates in performances and dance in school. Kenzi, 5, loves pink and always wears pink clothing and uses pink in her drawings.

We were working hard to provide a decent life for our three daughters. I was working as a director of an advocacy center in a civil society institution and owned a media production company. I lost all my equipment when the building of my company's headquarters was targeted. My wife Heba was working in digital project management. Although it was difficult, there was more than one source of income so our life was good, and stable.
Suddenly, we lost all of this. Fear, frequent displacement to escape the bombing and the lack of food and its obscene expensiveness made us live in constant anxiety for our daughters.
Now, there is no safety. There is no food. There is no sanctuary. There is no hope. My goal is to get my family out of Gaza to safety, as soon as possible. Your donations will make that a reality.
Please share this with friends and colleagues so we can bring my family to safety together.
Your kindness and compassion will not only save our family members lives but also restore their chance to live a dignified life, I express my gratitude for your consideration and potential support. Thank you for standing with us.
Your contributions, no matter the amount, will make a significant impact and will help fund the following:
Rafah border crossing for Walla & Heba:
2 people * $5,000 = $10,000
Rafah border crossing for Lujain, Jouri & Kinzi: 3 children * $2,500 = $7,500
Rent a home:
5 months * $500 = $2,500
Living expenses and medication:
5 months * $845 = $4,225
GoFundMe fees: $24,950 * 2.9% = $723.55
Happier times:
